Job Summary: Roosevelt University invites nominations and expressions of interest for Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO) for a unique leadership position in a vibrant, dynamic and diverse academic community. To learn more about Roosevelt, visit us at The VP/CFO manages a budget of over $110 million and oversees the University's finance and facilities operations. In addition, the VP/CFO is responsible for financial management analysis, strategic short-term and long-range financial and capital planning, institutional administrative functions, implementing capital projects, physical plant operations and maintenance, property acquisitions and records, bursar, purchasing, and contract administration. The Office of Finance, primarily housed in Chicago at the University's downtown campus, includes three associate vice presidents for: Finance, Budget, and Campus Planning and Operations. The leadership opportunities for the next VP/CFO have both a framework and momentum. The new VP/CFO will play an essential role in ensuring streamlined, contemporary, efficient, and effective administrative and operations processes that support the University's core mission of academic quality and student success for undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral students on two distinct campuses in Chicago and suburban Schaumburg and online. The VP/CFO will work closely and partner with the President, Provost & Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents, and Deans to advance the University's overarching strategic goals and initiatives specifically to: * Reconsider financial planning and budgeting models * Enhance operational performance of administrative areas * Enhance the risk management practices of the University

Minimum Qualifications: An earned bachelor's degree. 10 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Candidates should possess an earned degree as well as 10 years of demonstrated leadership and line management experience in higher education, the not-for-profit sector and/or business where he or she has led an organization through change. This position requires an experienced leader with a strong track record of accomplishment and collaboration in the strategic management and improvement of institutional operations and functions.

Preferred Qualifications: An earned master's degree and CPA.
