Job Duties: The Department of Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology at the Brody School of Medicine is seeking a Physician Extender to provide patient care for patients in clinic, inpatient, outpatient and day hospital settings. The successful candidate is expected to play an important role in providing education to other staff at the hospital and university, referring practitioners, patients and their families and to other community members relevant to the care of individuals with pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions. Membership and participation in professional organizations is needed to remain current in the field. Research responsibilities include a role in all aspects of the research process including organizing, implementing, tracking, and presenting research activities in the division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Travel to local, regional, national and international meetings and conferences for research, education, and discussions as needed. CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center.  Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
