Coordinator of First Generation and Scholars Programs
Position Summary: The Coordinator will report to and collaborate closely with the Assistant Director for Initiatives in the management and innovation of first-year, first generation and scholars programs. The goals of such programming will be to provide support for the Georgia Commitment Scholars Program; increase the recruitment, retention, and success of UGA's students, in particular the Latinx population; assist in the management of the Freshman College Summer Experience; and work to develop and enhance other first-year and first generation initiatives.
Responsibilities: Manage program support for the Georgia Commitment Scholars Program including, but not limited to: Planning effective workshops to help scholars learn about campus resources; collaborating with other units to plan welcome reception and events; providing academic coaching one on one for scholars; coordinate mentoring program.
Qualifications: Completion of a master's degree with 3 years of related experience; OR completion of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.
