Job Description Summary

Early Childhood Education



Job Responsibilities

Teaches a full range of courses in early care and education, child development, working with families, communication and program solving, curriculum, anti-bias approaches, inclusion of children with special needs and administration/supervision.



Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in early childhood education, child development, human development with specialization in child development/early childhood education. Master's degree in related area (early childhood education, elementary education, child development, human development, family life studies, or psychology). Minimum of four years teaching experience with children under five years of age.

Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes, and /or as a supplement

Knowledge and skills in a variety of computer usage and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)



Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of and commitment to constructive, family centered and anti-bias approaches to early childhood education including practical and theoretical understanding of children, curriculum and profession.



Work Schedule

To be determined based on business unit need. Classes may be offered during the day, evening and/or weekend. Please indicate your availability when applying for this position.

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position.
