The Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business invites nominations and applications for a Lecturer of Logistics and Supply Chain Management position. This position is located on the Statesboro campus.

In January 2017, the University System of Georgia Board of Regents voted to consolidate Armstrong State University and Georgia Southern University. The new, 27,000-student university will be named Georgia Southern University with campuses in Savannah, Statesboro, and Hinesville. Within this setting, close to the Port of Savannah, the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation as well as an operations emphasis in management. Departmental faculty members also deliver undergraduate and MBA business core classes in operations management, statistics and applied optimization, elective courses in operations management as well as serving the Ph.D. program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the Department's goal of achieving national distinction in the discipline through academic research and program outcomes. Faculty must also be willing to interact with students through activities such as advising, mentoring, and collaborative research.

Position Description. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the position requires teaching and service responsibilities, maintenance of faculty qualifications, and a master's degree. The ability to contribute to a positive collegial work environment in the Department, College, and University is also expected as well as a strong orientation to recruiting, retaining, and mentoring qualified students. The position is a 9-month, non-tenure track, appointment, beginning August 1, 2018, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:
• Master's in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations management or a closely related field
• Evidence of above average teaching ability
• Evidence of effective communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the institution

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience developing assurance of learning reports
• Experience working with a diverse student body
