Duties: Reporting to the School of Engineering and Applied Science's (SEAS) Human Resources Director, the Compliance Manager will implement, communicate and manage the school's immigration and human resources/ employment compliance standards. Serves as an interface between the offices of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), Global Support Services and SEAS faculty and staff. Submits all international employment based applications and documents to ISSS. The Compliance Manager will also support Human Resources (HR) processes including but not limited to reviewing and maintaining STEM/OPT training plans and J-1 student intern agreements, interfacing with Central Human Resources and the SEAS Business Offices on I-9 compliance, managing the TNC E-Verify process, coordinating the working with minors background check requirements for SEAS staff and faculty, oversight of requests for unpaid interns, monitoring the school's performance appraisal completion rates, assisting with temp extra staffing and annual employment law poster updates and other human resources trainings, projects, and duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education/experience and direct work experience with J, H, O, TN, OPT/OPT STEM and permanent resident regulations is required. Experience working with confidential information in an international office or human resources environment and experience developing and implementing departmental processes required. Experience working with and directly advising faculty on immigration and compliance regulations preferred.

Skills essential for success in this role; working knowledge of immigration laws and regulations, ability to communicate effectively with people from various cultural backgrounds. Excellent organizational and process development skills and ability to prioritize are essential. Proficient oral and written communication, critical thinking and analytical skills, ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ability to work independently. Excellent computer and database skills.
