BUSINESS MANAGER II
Position Summary: The Business Manager II is responsible for supervising and coordinating the administrative functions of the Environmental Safety Division. Additionally this position will participate in the management of professional and financial work in planning, organizing, leading, advising and facilitation of the fiscal, human resources, and logistical activities of the Environmental Safety Division. The Business Manager II supervises/performs all accounting functions and fiscal record-keeping in accordance with standard accounting practice; oversees Divisional procurement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with University, Board of Regents and State of Georgia requirements. Perform office management duties, direct workflow and supervise the processing of administrative and personnel paperwork. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Division equipment inventories. Devises modify and/or supervise the maintenance of filing systems and record keeping which may be automated. Supervise administrative personnel located in the main office. The Business Manager II will fill the role as the unit One Source project coordinator. They will hold primarily responsibility and accountability for leading the internal success of the One Source project implementation.
Responsibilities: Assist with developing and implementing strategic, long, and short-term plans to assure fiscal accountability; provide advice after investigating and analyzing financial, personnel, and logistic phases of business proposals; facilitate internal and external communication. Provide input to the Division's senior management team. Participate and collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategic, financial, personnel, operational, and other decisions that facilitate the achievement of Division, F&A, and University goals. Manage and review all documentation necessary for personnel actions to assure accuracy and compliance with Division and University policies and procedures and resolve related problems as they arise. Fill the role as the One Source project coordinator.
Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline with seven years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
