Job Duties: The East Carolina Diabetes & Obesity Institute (ECDOI), Division of Health Sciences, at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for an Associate Director position with a demonstrated record of productivity, funding and leadership in community intervention research in diabetes/obesity prevention and/or treatment. In addition, the successful applicant will hold a tenure track faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the academic unit commensurate with the candidate's training, education, and experience. The successful candidate will participate in leading a concerted effort across multiple colleges/departments/centers (Brody School of Medicine, College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Nursing, School of Dental Medicine, College of Health and Human Performance, Department of Public Health, Center for Health Disparities, Pediatric Healthy Weight and Treatment Center, etc.) to grow community intervention research, coordinating with Vidant Medical Center and research programs and public health agencies throughout North Carolina. The successful candidate will be provided 'hard line' salary support, competitive start-up package, and generous office/lab space.
