Position Summary: This is a high level accounting position with responsibility for a complex department. This position reports to the Department Head. This person will be responsible for all aspects of finance for the department including foundation, state, sales and service, grants, and all other accounts. This person must balance status reports monthly in a timely manner, make sure payroll is accurate, make sure employees are reimbursed in a timely manner, and purchase card policies are followed accurately. Must stay up to date on financial policies and procedures.  

Responsibilities: Maintain all financial records for departmental accounts, including state, income, grant, and foundation accounts. Balance all departmental, grant, and related reports monthly. Process and channel departmental and budget-related forms to Department Head. Maintain fiscal and budgetary records. Compile data and complete administrative reports. Prepare worksheets/tables/charts upon request. Post and record data from a variety of sources. Calculate and complete records and forms. Initiate all personnel reports for the department employees. Assist all new hires, including all graduate assistants and part-time instructors, with personnel paperwork. Work closely with international employees regarding paperwork to be submitted to Immigration. Using Excel electronic spreadsheet linked to the COE Dean's Office.

Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline with five to seven years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
