Administrative Coordinator's primary role will be the processing and management of all department paid and nonpaid hires, including professional, staff, student and non-student hires. Department, grant-funded and part time appointments, applications for visiting scientists, oversee Visa application and submission process, appointments of research and teaching assistantships, and non-paid volunteers, minors, and internships. Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for partnering with the college HR administrator and the University Human Resources Business Partners. Coordinator will also be responsible for processing of PDCs (payroll distribution changes), visitors, part-time and student reimbursements, monthly faculty Concur statements, and detail sheets. Specific responsibilities include overseeing the administrative staff to support them in providing professional development opportunities, assist in managing their workloads to meet deadlines, provide feedback and guidance to ensure all work meets the highest standards for attention to detail, timeliness, accuracy and quality. Assist Director of Electron Microscopy Center with record keeping, invoicing, and check deposits.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5 years administrative experience.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated management and supervisory experience.
  • Candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, editing, graphics, spreadsheet, and database knowledge.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be attentive to detail, be able to complete work in a timely manner, and be willing to adjust work hours if required for special events
