RESEARCH SPECIALIST B

Job description

Duties: Seek a motivated individual to become an integral member of a molecular biology lab with a focus on studies involving HIV transmission and evolution. Will be primarily involved in performing research experiments in molecular biology, including PCR, cloning and tissue culture. Compiles and documents research results and assists in data interpretation. Coordinates and disseminates research information to other researchers; serves as contact for vendors; maintains inventory of materials; assists in the development of new research procedures and techniques. The Research Specialist B will be involved in directing aspects of the research activities of a laboratory involved in study of HIV transmission and pathogenesis.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
