Primary Function of Organization Unit: The purpose of the Department of Registration and Records is to provide academic services to current and former students, faculty, staff and the public while maintaining the security and integrity of the university's academic data. The department serves as the data steward for all academic data and is therefore responsible for developing efficient and effective systems for collection, storage, update and distribution of data affecting all of the University's academic functions.
Essential Job Duties: The position oversees the Student Information System (SIS) security and setup for the department of Registration and Records. Will manage the security setup, find solutions to complex security problems, and approve/deny Security Access Requests for the department. Maintain vital tables in SIS and create detailed term calendars for fundamental processes. Serve as point of contact for university personnel of all levels, including Department Heads, administrative staff, students, and faculty for SIS related issues. Manage and coordinate the weekly Data Processing Schedule linking system processing to student term dates to ensure that critical system processing is completed as required. Coordinate the departmental IT support.
