Job Duties: This position will work with the ECU News Services Office to produce and edit video news features for the official ECU.edu website and video content for the university's official social media accounts. The work involves project management, script writing, working with same-day deadlines and building and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external partners. This position may be called on at times to assist with media relations activities such as writing news releases and providing media escorts. Work includes developing and delivering promotional and informational materials. This position is responsible for the interpretation and dissemination of technical or program specific information through a variety of creative communications mediums in order to stimulate interest in programs, events and activities in a public university. This work also may include: graphic design; preparing and disseminating news releases and feature stories through various media outlets; public relations activities; developing and managing print, electronic, broadcast, and/or Web-based content; leading/directing staff; and developing and recommending communication strategies.
