The ASU Lake Havasu campus invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Lecturer to begin August 16, 2018. Initial appointment is for a 9-month academic year. This is a non-tenure track teaching position with no research responsibilities. Duties include teaching (typically 12 credits per semester) and service (approximately 20% of workload). Subsequent annual renewal is possible contingent upon performance, availability of resources and the needs of the campus. Salary is dependent on experience.
The successful candidate should have a background in General Biology and/or Environmental Science, with the ability to teach broadly in these disciplines.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biology or a related field by the time of appointment, demonstrated experience teaching at the University level, with a record of teaching excellence as evidenced through peer and/or student evaluations.
Desired qualifications include: (1) experience teaching one or more foundational and breadth courses; (2) experience with multiple teaching modalities; and (3) demonstrated success meeting the needs of diverse student populations.
