The division works closely with other divisions within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, as well as other divisions across campus, including numerous researchers from the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. DPMP researchers have generated more than $8.5M in annual support from the NIH and NSF. This includes the NIH-funded Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery that brings together scientists to create nano-scale pharmaceutical innovations for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. The Hingtgen Lab is seeking to fill a Research Scientist position with expertise in culturing and testing clinical versions of personalized tumor-homing stem cell therapies, performing safety and efficacy testing in mouse models of brain cancer, developing and testing clinical versions of custom scaffold based cell therapy systems, and other research tasks necessary to launch a first-in-human clinical trials.
