Posting Information: This position is based out of WCU's Biltmore Park location in Asheville, NC. Continuation of employment in this position is contingent upon funding availability. The Director of the PLACES program will be responsible for the management and oversight of the day-to-day grant implementation, program evaluation and grant reporting. The Director will also serve as the direct supervisor for the grant consultants and the grant evaluator. Primary Responsibilities of the PLACES Program Director will include: * Implementation of all aspects of the PLACES grant, including collaboration with community partners, oversight of student selection process, clinical placement assignments and scholarship disbursement through WCU. * Collaborate with key personnel at Mission Health and WCU to develop and teach preceptor training modules for continuing education credit. * Oversee and monitor the program evaluation plan, supervise consultants and the program evaluator, and shepherding research proposals through the IRB process. * Logistics planning to meet and collaborate with all key personnel and on-going communication with PI and Co-PI, simulation Director, FNP faculty, preceptors and community partners to ensure smooth operation of the Program. * Liaison activities between the Mission Health clinics and WCU SON to build and strengthen community partnerships; and manage the implementation of an annual regional conference to educate and hone expertise as identified in the PLACES program.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Masters or Doctoral prepared nurse; with at least 2 years' experience in nursing education or equivalent and experience working with federal grant programs that require working with community partners.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing a grant program that involves nursing students and regional educational conference planning
