Primary Function of Organization Unit: The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is the fourth largest college at NC State University, a land grant institution in Raleigh, North Carolina. Agriculture and Life Sciences have been integral parts of North Carolina State University since the doors first opened in 1889. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences continues that heritage today. CALS teaches students in disciplines related to agriculture and life sciences, creates new knowledge through innovative research, provides solutions for the public with community based extension programs, and develops leaders to guide society - all in an effort to improve the economic, environmental and social well-being of our state and the world. CALS Academic Programs carries out the College's teaching mission, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as two-year associate degrees through the Agricultural Institute.
Essential Job Duties: The Program Coordinator is responsible for the management of the University Industry Consortium (UIC) Fellows program and serves as the primary interface with UIC Fellows, industry and university partners, mentors, residential program directors, the UIC Fellows Executive Committee (governing board of the program), and NC State HR and budget officials. This individual manages all operational components of program delivery. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Establish good working relationships with participants. Develop and maintain a highly professional atmosphere and customer service level at all times with UIC Fellows and industry and university partners. Use strong project management skills and manage the continuous process of multiple programs being delivered simultaneously. * *Manage program (40%)*, including direct all aspects of the selection and management of the UIC Fellows, industry sponsorships, and mentors; direct all aspects of the UIC Fellows residential sessions and the professional development programming outside of residential sessions. * *Program administration (20%)*, including management of fiscal accounts, travel and HR; collect program data and generate reports as needed. * *Communication, marketing, and assessment (25%)*, including cultivating relationships and communications between all fellows, industry and university partners, mentors, site coordinators, Executive Committee, facilitators and staff; oversee outcomes assessment, develop marketing materials; provide reports and advice to program leadership. * *CALS Graduate Program and Food Systems Leadership Institute support (15%)*, including cooperating with and providing support to other staff managing these programs.
Minimum Education/Experience: * Master's degree in food, agriculture and life sciences or related field or MPA with experience in project management.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: * Experience in online learning, corporate customer service, and training and development. * Strong customer service orientation. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint and learning management systems.
Necessary Licenses and Certifications: A valid drivers license is required for travel. NC drivers license required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
