Campus Safety Officer
Job Summary: The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of all students, employees and visitors on the University Campus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A minimum of two years of college (45 credit hours) or prior military or law enforcement experience. or 1 year continuous experience in security A valid driver's license with a good driving record. Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable judgment, discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive situations and/or irate individuals. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, observation and attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. One year continuous security/safety experience. Previous experience in preliminary investigation and preparing incident reports. Previous customer service experience. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience in higher education.
