Assistant Professor - Academic Clinician Track - Clinical Psychology
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of clinical psychology with a focus on patients presenting with elevated suicide risk, depression, and disruptive behavior disorders. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. License eligibility to practice in PA is required.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in program development and provision of evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy for patients presenting with elevated suicide risk, depression, and disruptive behavior disorders. In addition, the faculty member will have significant experience with quality improvement initiatives, including the creation of clinical pathways of care for depressed and suicidal individuals and the implementation of evidence-based diagnostic and symptom assessment tools. The faculty member will also have a substantial track record of multidisciplinary teaching and supervision on suicide risk, assessment, and treatment, mood disorders, and parent management training.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an APA-accredited doctoral program and pre-doctoral internship, post-doctoral training, fulfill criteria for licensure in PA. Applicants must have excellent qualifications in interdisciplinary collaboration.
