Building Inspection Instructor (Two Year Trial Status)
Chemeketa Community College welcomes applications for a full-time Building Inspection Instructor (Two Year Trial Status)
Teaches assigned classes in building inspection following approved course outline; prepares and develops materials for assigned classes; provides students and college with course syllabi and recommends textbooks and other instructional material and/or equipment.
Terms of Employment:
This is a 100 percent, 180-day academic position.
Recently hired faculty are expected to participate in a new faculty orientation program.
This assignment is a trial position through June 2019.
Requires the provision of official transcripts upon hire.
Upon hire, must pass security inquiry which may include criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 50,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. $47,612.00 - $78,142.00 Annually
Associates Degree in Building Inspection or related field from an accredited institution -OR-
1-year certificate in Building Inspection Technology (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
5 (five) years’ experience in inspection, plan review, and/or building design
Current State of Oregon certification as A-level Building Inspector and A- level Mechanical Inspector.
International Code Council (ICC) certified as Building Inspector (B1, B2) and Mechanical Inspector (M1, M2).
(Those having current ICC certification must obtain current State of Oregon certification within 6 months after date of employment)
