MBA Office Assistant

Primary Function of Organization Unit: The MBA office administers all aspects of the admission process, student services, career services, and alumni activities for the MBA program, consisting of 100 full-time students, 350 part-time students, 150 online students, and 2000+ alumni. The program resides in the Jenkins Graduate School within the Poole College of Management at NC State University.
Essential Job Duties: Serve as Administrative Assistant in a variety of functions to the MBA program staff. Send official MBA office communications about admissions, registration, graduation and other events to alumni and current and prospective students. Process applications in Apply Yourself and NextGen and create new student files. Answer all incoming calls to the main MBA office line. Respond to inquires through email. Greet walk-ins, applicants, recruiters, students, faculty and staff and direct them to appropriate staff for assistance. Track prospect interactions in SalesForce. Collect, open and distribute mail to MBA staff.
Department Required Skills: - Experience with Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), or similar software packages. - Experience with Google Applications (including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.), or similar software. - Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational skills. - Strong critical thinking skills. - Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: - PeopleSoft and/or Student Information Systems experience. - Experience with sales and marketing software such as Salesforce, Hubspot, and Bronto. - Experience with application management software such as Slate and ApplyYourself. - Website maintenance experience, including Wordpress and HTML.
