Job Summary: The Graduate Admission Counselor performs all aspects of the recruitment and counseling of prospective students into a doctoral program in the College of Pharmacy. Duties are focused on, but not limited to participation in on- and off-campus recruitment events and interview days, responding to inquiries, evaluating applications, and maintaining contact with prospective students. The Graduate Admission Counselor will be fully engaged with all aspects of the college and able to speak knowledgably about the program including institutional values, unique opportunities and faculty strengths. This is a full-time, administrative, exempt position that reports to the Associate Director of Enrollment in the College of Pharmacy based on the Schaumburg campus and also requires attendance at events on Roosevelt's Chicago campus. Significant local and regional and some national travel is required, along with evening and weekend hours as needed to fulfill recruiting commitments. A valid driver's license is required.

Working Hours:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A master's degree in relevant field with minimum of two years of experience working as an admission counselor at a college or university OR a minimum of High School Diploma/GED with three years of recent experience working full-time as a certified pharmacy technician. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships both externally and within Roosevelt University. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse applicants, faculty and staff. Ability to make effective presentations in individual, small, and large group settings to prospective students. Excellent public speaking skills are required. Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to prioritize independently. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn CRM software, such as Slate
