Basic Function:
We are seeking a non-tenure-track faculty member who would work closely with the faculty and staff who are developing on-line curricula for an Autonomous Vehicle concentration within WPI's graduate degree program in Robotics Engineering. The selected candidate would support both the development and the teaching of courses within the on-line program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • We are looking for individuals who value innovation, creativity, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration. Applicants must show educational background, work experience or successful research and publication in topic areas that are strongly correlated with Autonomous Vehicular design and research. Such topics include: Deep Learning and related areas of Artificial Intelligence, motion planning for vehicular paths, sensors, systems and robust control for autonomous vehicles, etc.

    Position Requirements

  • Candidates should have a Ph.D. in CS, Robotics, or a closely related field. Position title from Senior Instructor through Associate Teaching Professor will be determined from academic credentials and accomplishments appropriate for the title. Applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae including a complete work history, publication list, separate statements summarizing teaching and research experiences, interests, and leadership (particularly in the area of Robotics and Vehicular control or autonomy), and names and email addresses for at least three references.
