Doctoral degree in public health, health promotion, health education, or a closely-related discipline from an accredited school.
Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018.
Demonstrated potential effectiveness and excellence for teaching. Demonstrated potential for conducting research, scholarly and creative activities.
Ability to teach courses in health promotion and risk reduction, health education, community health education, and other classes in the Health Science major and Public Health specialization.
Demonstrated potential for curriculum development in Health Science and Public Health.
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting population-based studies for the understanding of the occurrence and control of diseases affecting vulnerable populations.
Experience or training in the field of biostatistics.
Evidence of scholarly productivity in public health research.
Experience with hybrid and online learning modalities.
