Job Duties: The EHR Training Specialist assumes responsibility for training and developing curriculum for all EHR Revenue Cycle functions, including, but not limited to, Prelude, Cadence, Resolute, and Referrals. This individual functions as both a subject matter expert and an adult learning facilitator, and is responsible for the following: 1. Providing training for all ECUP employees who use EHR Revenue Cycle functions for their job duties. 2. Booking classroom space and securing needed resources (projector, laptops) as necessary for training. 3. Developing and incorporating multiple training strategies and methodologies, such as classroom/in-the-seat, at-the-elbow, and web-based such as WebEx demonstrations and incorporation of LMS (Cornerstone, Blackboard). 4. Staying abreast of EHR enhancements, insurance updates, and applicable ECUP policy/SOP revisions. 5. Staying abreast of adult learning techniques and strategies. 6. Creating and updating training curriculum including lesson plans, tip sheets, exams, and websites where training documentation is housed. 7. Maintaining database of employees trained and any supporting documentation, such as Usage Agreements. 8. Providing direct feedback to department management on employee's training performance along with recommendations when necessary. 9. Providing customer service to ECUP departments through timely responsiveness of Emails sent to Training Email distribution address. 10. Participating in integrated and individual testing. 11. Assisting management with diagnosing complex application issues and recommending remedial actions to correct problems using comprehensive EHR application knowledge. CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center.  Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
