Department Head, Marketing and International Business
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
General Summary of Responsibilities: The Langdale College of Business Administration seeks qualified applicants for a fiscal (12-month) administrative faculty position in the Department of Marketing and International Business. Position is tenure earning and rank is dependent upon credentials. Preferred appointment date is January 1, 2018, but can be negotiated. Reporting directly to the Dean, the department head is responsible for the overall day to day functions of the Marketing and International Business Department. This includes, but is not limited to: * Hiring, managing and evaluating faculty members within the department. * Conducting periodic Departmental meetings. * Scheduling classes and sections for each faculty member in each academic semester. * Advising, scheduling, overseeing internships and providing overrides, where appropriate, for students during the academic year. * Teaching required courses during the academic year. * Conducting required research during the academic year. * Attending required conferences, including those associated with academic presentations during the academic year. * Participating in Executive Committee meetings during the academic year. * Attending monthly University Department Head meetings. *Serves as Budget Manager for the departmental budget. Required Qualifications: Doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB accredited institution, must be qualified as a Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards, and the ability to interact effectively with community.
