Minimum Education/Experience: The position requires an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program; two (2) years post-Master's practice experience; and Ph.D. or D.S.W. in Social Work. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Candidates with Ph.D. conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to your first reappointment.

Job Duties: The College of Health and Human Performance's School of Social Work at East Carolina University (ECU) invites applications and nominations for a tenure track, nine-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2018. We are seeking applications from individuals who can advance our mission of excellence in social work education through innovative teaching and research; possess a willingness to teach across the curriculum at the graduate (MSW) and undergraduate (BSW) level; teach from both a generalist as well as a relational perspective; and, possess a demonstrated commitment to antiracism and anti-oppressive practice.
