Minimum Education/Experience: A valid non-restricted North Carolina registered nurse (RN) license and current certification as an APRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is required upon employment. DNP or PhD with graduate degree in nursing, (will consider candidates who have projected date of earned doctorate in May 2019). Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Expertise in clinical practice as evidenced by three years of clinical experience as a CRNA with a variety of general and regional anesthetic techniques. Demonstrated scholarship activity. Effective oral and written communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population of students. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse faculty and student body.

Job Duties: The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time,12-month faculty position to teach graduate students in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. Teaching will include courses in the didactic, simulation and clinical aspects of the program. Duties also include academic advising, and participating in DNP Projects. DNP will be considered for fixed term at the title/rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or higher. Candidates with PhD and a graduate degree in nursing, may be considered for tenure track at the title/rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
