Duties: The primary function of the Sr. Financial Analyst position is to provide high-level analytical support to the financial management of the School, as well as assist various departments with business development and short and long-term planning efforts. In addition, the Sr. Financial Analyst has the ability and the experience to work autonomously, in a broad variety of areas, as well as to provide leadership within the Finance & Administration group and the School. The Sr. Financial Analyst may also serve as School liaison to University committees or working groups when needed. Key responsibilities include the leadership/active participation in the five year strategic planning process, periodic forecasting, and the annual operating budget; ongoing budget responsibility for a variety of areas (academic departments, research centers, and administrative centers); development and presentation of strategic planning models for a portfolio of departments; analysis of various financial results; and the gathering of market and industry data for competitive benchmarking.

Qualifications: MBA degree required, and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong financial, analytical, and modeling skills. Capability to independently manage multiple projects from design through final presentation. Advanced user skills with Excel and database software. Ability to see the big picture while effectively analyzing details. Strong interpersonal skills is a must as this position has frequent interaction with staff and faculty at many levels throughout Wharton and the University.
