Duties: The Department of Pathology is seeking a Research Specialist A / Lab assistant in the area of bacterial pathogenesis. The individual will work under direct PI's supervision. Research activities will consist of bacterial/mammalian cells cultivation, molecular biology experiments, proteins expression/purification, and protein assays. Duties will include lab support, data organization/analysis, coordinating activities of undergraduate students, and participating in scientific discussions about experimental design and interpretation of results.

This is a full time position till January 15, 2019. The position is contingent upon funding.

Qualifications: * BA in biology, chemical biology, biochemistry or related area.
* 1- 2+ years of hands-on research experience.
* Possess strong organizational skills and great attention to details.
* Excellent record keeping ability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, and optimistic individual.
