Job description

Duties: Under a broad scope medical license, perform surveys with portable and laboratory instruments; audit radiation use areas to ensure regulatory and license compliance; develop training programs and provide training; provide support of EHRS website and database development; maintain effluent sampling and monitoring equipment; provide support of institutional decommissioning program; respond to spills/incidents (24 hour on call); evaluate and interpret regulations and assist in compliance; manage technician work schedules; act as lead on small projects or programs; provide support for the University's biosafety, chemical and environmental safety programs; perform other duties as needed to support the radiation safety program; Work is performed under general supervision.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, MA/MS in science preferred plus 3-5 years of experience in Health Physics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer related skills associated with website and database development highly preferred.
