The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, in partnership with the national search firm of Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Chief Enrollment Officer (CEO) to lead the newly created Division of Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Chancellor of the University with a collaborative reporting line to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Chief Enrollment Officer serves as a member of the Chancellor’s cabinet and participates in institution-wide enrollment strategy planning and policy development.

The Chief Enrollment Officer serves as a campus leader and partner in undergraduate student recruitment, retention, and graduation at UWM’s schools, colleges, and divisions. The CEO effectively leads and manages the following Enrollment Management units: Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Success Center, Trio/Pre-College Programs, Career Planning and Resource Center, and the Registrar. The position supervises a team of 139 professional staff and 230 student employees, and manages an operating budget of $11.3 million.

The Chief Enrollment Officer will implement, evaluate and enhance the enrollment management plan that includes a marketing campaign to enhance enrollment establish a strategic financial aid model, increase enrollment and decrease time-to-degree. The CEO will also develop and execute strategies to increase first to second year freshman and transfer retention as well as graduation rates at the four and six year level. In addition, the CEO will focus on increasing enrollment of first generation, underrepresented minorities and out-of-state students. The CEO will collaborate with the Center for International Education and the Graduate School to increase enrollment of international and graduate students.

Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree or other advanced degree; administrative, mid to upper level management experience in higher education or closely related industry; a record of visionary leadership, guided by collaborative, team-oriented and ethical considerations; evidence of commitment to building, supporting and providing superb service to a diverse student population; and evidence of experience with integrated student information systems, Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and innovative technologies for enrollment management.
