FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:                                                                                                

The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York is seeking applicants for multiple full-time tenure track faculty positions in the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics. The positions are available at either the Assistant Professor or the Associate Professor levels and begin in the Fall semester of 2018.

The tenure-track faculty will be expected to do the following:

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics or related fields by the time of appointment. They should have a proven record or potential for scholarly research leading to publications in top refereed statistical journals. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrable skills and interest in modern statistical theory for massive or high dimensional data. Applicants must also demonstrate good teaching ability and be able to develop and teach courses in data science (on topics such as Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, and Big Data Analytics, among others). Applicants for the Associate Professor position must also demonstrate a record of service.
