Job description

Duties: The Center for Social Impact Strategy (CSIS) invites applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant at the School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2) at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, PA, USA, for immediate start. The purpose of this administrative position is to support the Center for Social Impact Strategy (CSIS). Job functions include assisting in the day-to-day activities of CSIS and working closely with the CSIS faculty director, managing director, and coordinators on processing contracts and expenses, booking travel, scheduling, ordering office and program supplies, securing event logistics such as room reservations and catering for Philadelphia-based, US, and international events.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree preferred, Demonstrated ability to: organize tasks and set priorities, multi-task competently; take initiative and assume responsibility for support functions work in small office environment with team approach; handle confidential information; communicate effectively (verbal and written communication skills) and exhibit strong interpersonal skills and professionalism; work proficiently with computer applications including entire MS Office suite, spreadsheet and database, networked computer environment. Must work accurately under pressure and posses creative thinking skills. Knowledge of UPenn systems and of design software is preferred. Successful candidate will be dedicated to successful completion of tasks and enjoy working as part of a fast paced team environment. Must have ability to work in small teams and independently, superb attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and excellent time management skills.
Occasional evening or weekend work is required.
