Critical Care Cardiology Faculty Position - Clinician Educator
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Applicants must be board eligible or certified in Cardiovascular Disease, and it is preferred that applicants are also board eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
The successful applicant will spend a substantial portion of time as an Attending Physician in the Cardiac Care Unit at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, caring for patients with a broad range of critical illness including Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmias, and Heart Failure. Other responsibilities will include supporting our educational mission teaching medical students, residents and fellows and participating in cardiovascular research programs. Opportunities for developing an outpatient clinical cardiology practice will be available, and opportunities for non-invasive imaging will be considered based on candidate’s experience and desires. Leadership opportunities are available for candidates with suitable experience. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator Track. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
