Position Summary: This position will assist the Associate Dean of Administration in the development, execution, evaluation and continued improvement of school-wide initiatives in the areas of business operations, human resources, information technology, and facilities and resource planning. High-level interaction with internal and external entities, to include deans, associate deans, department chairs, center directors, division chiefs, UNC Health Care System leadership, senior leaders in central offices, General Administration, and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) will be required routinely. This position has high visibility with the Dean of the School of Medicine and each of the senior leaders of the cabinet.

Education Requirements: Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required with three years or greater of related professional experience. For candidates demonstrating comparable professional backgrounds, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and five years or greater of relevant experience in substitution.

Qualification and Experience: This position requires the expertise to work independently; to diagnose a wide range of business, technical, and administrative issues; and to identify and implement solutions to those problems. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences as well as build relationships with a variety of partners and constituents. The incumbent must demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage multiple responsibilities of a confidential nature and exercise a high level of discretion and independent judgment.
