Job Summary Individual will work with research scientists to implement and manage research trials in the area of beef nutrition and forage management on the University of Georgia Tifton Campus. Specific duties include: working with the principle investigator to implement research protocols for each specific trial, establishing schedules for each research trial, coordinating selection and use of cows and facilities with the beef manager, implementing protocols for specific research, securing the necessary supplies, collecting and processing samples, delivering or shipping samples to lab after processing, collecting data, maintaining data files, and other duties as required. The individual is expected to provide supervision and leadership of graduate students and temporary labor including the preparation of work schedules, training to complete research protocols and providing proper animal care while following University of Georgia guidelines. The individual will also work with the beef manager to coordinate and conduct research and demonstration projects. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and no experience or equivalent combination required. Area-specific certification may be required and training will be provided as appropriate (i.e. UGA HazMat training).
