RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: Perform cellular and molecular biology techniques including DNA preparations, cloning, electrophoresis, subcloning, cell culture, DNA transfection, western blotting. Analyze cellular function using immunologic techniques including ELISA and flow cytometry. Position will analyze data from experiments, record data and present results of experiments at lab meetings and directly to PI. Maintain care and husbandry of a mouse colony; mouse work will include screening genotypes and assessments of immunologic function in vitro and in vivo. Assist other lab members on experiments as needed. Train students and act as a lead person in lab for junior staff. Maintain lab organization and perform routine laboratory maintenance.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: BA/BS in biological science or related field, and 0-1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Some laboratory experience preferred.
