CLINICAL RESEARCH COORD B
Duties: The Center for Neuromodulation in Depression and Stress at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator, B to join our team. The research coordinator will work full-time on a variety of research studies focused on the neuroscience of depression.
The CRC, B duties include:
1) Recruitment - CRC will design and implement procedures for centralized, coordinated recruitment of research participants for all studies within the CNDS. CRC will work with various programs within the University to further develop ongoing recruitment efforts, such as Penn Behavioral Health, the Penn Data Store, the Penn Biobank, and the Department of Psychiatry.
2) Quality Assurance - CRC will work with senior clinical research coordinator to assure that each study is meeting expectations and that they are conducted in accordance with the specific clinical protocol as approved by the study team and in accordance with all regulatory organizations; manage the regulatory compliance of studies; oversee, supervise, and assist in drafting all reports and other communications required by the NIH or other sponsor.
3) Supervision of student research assistants - CRC will help train and oversee the day to day tasks of the student research assistants.
4) Participate in all phases of clinical research studies -- submission to review boards, subject recruitment and enrollment, screening study participants, scheduling and running study visits, administration of cognitive and psychological assessments, accompanying participants to the neuroimaging scanners and running neuroimaging protocols, and regulatory compliance in one or more studies within the CNDS.
Additionally, CRC will be responsible for reviewing and entering the data into the study database and assisting with data analysis. He/she will also help with submitting recruitment reports to the NIH and will maintain the NCT website.
CRC will assist the PI in creating graphics for presentations and will provide support for Center seminars and meetings. The Research Coordinator will also assist with paper and grant references and submissions.
Working hours are typically 8:30am-5:30pm M-F; however, these hours are flexible to include some evening and weekend hours, in order to accommodate for study visits and MRI scanning.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
