RESEARCH TECHNICIAN III
Job Summary The Roberts-Galbraith laboratory seeks an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to serve as our research technician. The successful candidate will join a new laboratory at the University of Georgia that uses planarians (freshwater flatworms) to study regeneration. The technician will be responsible for a range of lab management duties, including ordering/stocking supplies, organizing the laboratory space, maintaining records, and creating training and waste logs. She/he will also support laboratory experiments by preparing reagents and assisting with feeding and care of the planarians. The technician will perform independent experiments to study regeneration using methods that include molecular biology and microscopy. The technician will also guide and train other lab members as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and no experience or equivalent combination required. Area-specific certification may be required and training will be provided as appropriate (i.e. UGA HazMat training).
