Job Summary

Provide academic support to current students by tutoring in the drop-in lab or through scheduled individual or group appointments.

Offer appropriate instructional materials and help students develop good study skills and strategies.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of tutoring sessions.

Communicate with subject-area faculty as well as the tutoring supervisor to ensure use of appropriate tutoring methodologies.

Communicate with the Tutoring Services staff regarding student issues and concerns.


Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis.

-Documented two year degree from a regionally accredited institution or its equivalent (junior level status at a college or university)
- Interview plus written approval of a content/skill instructor and/or interview plus endorsement of tutor trainer/supervisor
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.


Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree in related field from a regionally accredited institution or combination or equivalent education and/or experience or certification in related area.
2. Teaching experience in related content area.
3. Colorado Vocational Credential or Media Credential may be required.
