The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Candidates must be Board Certified in Nephrology.

We seek an individual who will add clinical and scientific expertise to the Renal Division in the area of palliative care medicine relevant to advanced kidney disease. This individual will assume a role as clinician, teacher and clinical or translational scientist who seeks to grow an extramurally-funded clinical or health services research program focused on end of life issues in advanced kidney disease. The successful applicant will have advanced clinical science training and a focus defined by a robust publication and funding record. He or she will care for patients on both inpatient and outpatient services in Renal and Palliative Care Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
