Primary Function of Organization Unit: The purpose of the Department of Registration and Records is to provide academic services to current and former students, faculty, staff and the public while maintaining the security and integrity of NC State's academic data. The department serves as the data steward for all academic data and is therefore responsible for developing efficient and effective systems for collection, storage, update and distribution of data affecting all of the University's academic functions.
Essential Job Duties: The Business and Technology Application Analyst is responsible for data reporting and analysis in the areas of student enrollment, retention and graduation. The position serves as the departmental lead for data administration working as a consultant to other departmental technical staff. The position is responsible for creating complex queries using SAS, SQL and PeopleSoft Query and must have technical and content expertise to respond to internal, external and ad hoc data requests.
Department Required Skills: Experience with SAS or SQL
