Job Summary This position will serve as a lead contact and DLSA for pre-award and post-award grant administration for Genetics and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) between UGA's Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA), funding agencies, faculty and academic researchers. BCMB and Genetics' Grants Coordinator III positions will serve as the interdepartmental grant team. This position will be responsible for promoting and enhancing the application, development, and submission of grant proposals for external funding. In addition, this position will also provide direction for post-award activities, such as monitoring grant awards and expenditures for accuracy and compliance with standards. The department expects that faculty will have access to this position and the counter position in BCMB for pre-award activities based on staff expertise and availability, but that some post-award activities will be more department specific, though in all areas each individual is expected to serve as a backup for support of the other. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university required and a minimum of four to five years of direct experience in the area of research administration (proposal submission and non-financial post-award management) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Delegated Limited Submission Authority (DLSA) status typically is expected to be attained at this level within one to two years.
