GRANTS COORDINATOR III
Job Summary This position will serve as the lead contact for the pre-award and post-award grant administration between the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and UGA's Office of Sponsored Programs Administration, Funding Agencies, Faculty and Academic Researchers. This position will also function as backup for the Grants Coordinator III position in the Department of Genetics. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting and enhancing the application development, and submission of grant proposals for external funding by providing high level proposal assistance to faculty, staff and graduate students. The position will also provide direction for post-award activities, such as monitoring grant awards and expenditures for accuracy and compliance with standards. Will obtain delegated limited submission authority as soon as possible. This position will serve as project liaison to other departments and outside entities. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university required and a minimum of four to five years of direct experience in the area of research administration (proposal submission and non-financial post-award management) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Delegated Limited Submission Authority (DLSA) status typically is expected to be attained at this level within one to two years.
