Job description

Duties: The researcher will participate in development and execution of immunologic research projects. The research specialist is expected to participate in and perform experimental design, data analysis including 12 color flow cytometry and processing of human blood samples for flow cytometry analysis.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be able to work as part of a team but also function with a high level of independence. Additional skills in nucleic acid isolation and quantification will also be required for specimen preparation for transcriptomic analysis and TCR sequencing. The specialist must also be proficient in cell isolation and transfer techniques. This position will require excellent writing and communication skills as the specialist will work as a member of an established research team in the laboratory of the principal investigator. This position will also require excellent organizational skills as the specialist will be responsible for collating data results from clinical research specimens. Preferred candidates will have past experience and training in cellular & molecular immunology. Experimental design and data analysis are complex and require advanced skills in 12 color flow cytometry, immunofluorescence microscopy, microbiologic assays, and quantitative DNA analysis. Finally, a broad experience in statistical techniques as well as proficiency in FlowJo cytometric analysis software is preferred.
