Job Summary This position within Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) will be responsible for the review and submission of research proposals as well as the review, negotiation and execution of sponsored project research contracts and related documents, all with an emphasis on industry-sponsored projects. Executed agreements must be in full compliance with financial controls and all applicable laws, regulations and policy requirements. This position reports to the Director of Pre-Award and works closely with an interdepartmental team of professionals with expertise in sponsored projects administration, industry collaborations, and technology transfer. Preferred candidates will bring solid experience in sponsored programs administration and contract drafting and negotiation, enjoy creative problem solving and thrive in a collaborative environment. This position requires a highly motivated individual who enjoys both a fast-paced and high volume work environment as well as working with a team. The successful candidate will actively work to establish strong relationships with university faculty and staff, external business community representatives, and funding agency program officers. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study. General awareness of contract negotiation.
