Working/Functional Title


Position Summary

This is a full time position with all associated benefits. Successful candidate will be performing a full range of mental health care while collaborating with campus stakeholders. The successful candidate would be committed to understanding the special needs of University students. Clinic hours are generally 8 AM-6 PM, Monday-Thursday and 8 AM-5 PM on Friday.


Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of more than three years of study beyond a four-year college degree, such as a Medical Doctorate or Osteopathic Doctorate degree; up to six months of related experience in a clinical environment after completion of residency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a license from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy and either the Michigan Board of Medicine or the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery; and board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.  

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with college age students and a multi-cultural international population; experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team; outpatient psychiatry experience including psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, brief psycho-therapeutic intervention for mood disorders, anxiety, attention deficit and eating disorders.  Experience in peer review, quality improvement initiatives and electronic medical records.

Work Hours

Clinic hours are 8AM-6PM Monday-Thursday and 8AM-5PM Fridays during the academic semester. Hours are 8AM-5PM during breaks and summer.
