Duties: The Program Coordinator supports the research, administrative, and organizational planning activities of the Penn Vet Cancer Center. This position will serve as the main administrative point of contact for the Center for center members, University contacts and external organizations, including planning and execution of Center-sponsored activities and support of sponsored research programs. This position will also liaise with the Veterinary Clinical Investigation Center to support and expand Penn Vet's capacity for oncology-related clinical trials. Additionally, this position provides administrative support to several faculty of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, including processing lab supply orders and travel reimbursements.
Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, preferably in communications, development, or research coordination. Knowledge of research funding mechanisms and University financial systems preferred but not required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and appropriately triage shifting priorities with attention to detail. Ability to deal effectively with diverse constituencies; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout Penn Vet and University. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
