Job Summary The University of Georgia Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Administrator position in Network Engineering. This position will work as part of a team responsible for the delivery and support of mission critical advanced network technologies to an 80K+ node local campus and extended campuses across the state. The strongest candidates for this position will have network administration experience with Brocade/Foundry, Cisco, F5, and Juniper network hardware in an enterprise production environment, Strong network diagnostic experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team of dedicated professionals. Typical responsibilities: - IP management - Building edge and Core router configuration - Router upgrades and patching. - Troubleshooting advanced network issues - Monitoring the availability and performance of network hardware. - Performing emergency troubleshooting and problem resolution, including after hours response as part of a team on call 24x7x365. - Develop and maintain written documentation for planning of maintenance actions. - Working as part of a team without close supervision.
